Relational Somatic Therapy

Relational Somatic Therapy & Counselling Support for: Anxiety, depression and overwhelm Grief, loss and life transitions Relationship patterns and attachment wounds Boundaries and people-pleasing Chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation Reconnecting with yourself and a deeper sense of belonging Relational Somatic Therapy is a gentle, body-centred approach to healing that recognizes how our experiences, emotions and relationships shape the way we feel and inhabit our bodies, relate to others and move through the world. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, attachment theory and early developmental trauma work, this approach supports us in understanding how past experiences and protective survival patterns may continue to influence our nervous systems, relationships and sense of self. Through compassionate inquiry, attuned relationship and embodied awareness, we begin to explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. By gently noticing sensations, emotions, imagery, impulses and movement, we create opportunities for the nervous system to find greater regulation, safety and flexibility. Central to this work is the understanding that healing happens in relationship. When we feel genuinely seen, met and supported, new experiences of safety and connection can emerge. Over time, this can help us soften old protective patterns, develop healthier boundaries and discover new ways of relating to ourselves and others without abandoning our own needs. Bringing Nature Into the Healing Process My approach also draws from ecotherapy and eco-relational somatics, recognizing that our relationship with the living world can be a profound resource for nervous system regulation, connection and belonging. Our senses offer a doorway into this relationship. Through slowing down, noticing the ground beneath us, listening to birdsong, feeling the breeze or widening our awareness to the life around us, we can begin to shift out of patterns of overwhelm and isolation and into a greater sense of presence and connection. Nature reminds us that we are not separate from life, but intimately woven into a larger living world that we can turn toward for support. What to Expect in a Session Sessions are primarily conversational, while gently bringing awareness to what is happening in your body and nervous system in the present moment. We may explore sensations, emotions, breath, movement, imagery or other embodied experiences, always working at a pace that feels supportive to you. Sessions can take place indoors or outdoors through walk-and-talk therapy in nature. We can also incorporate nature-based awareness and resourcing practices within indoor sessions. Whether sitting together or walking outdoors, the intention is to create a supportive relational space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your own inner resources and gradually develop a greater capacity for ease, resilience and authentic connection.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

A gentle, relational approach to nervous system regulation and healing. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that supports the nervous system's capacity to settle, regulate and restore balance. Rooted in osteopathy, this approach recognizes that health is always present within us, even when we are experiencing stress, pain, trauma or overwhelm. Rather than trying to fix or change the body, BCST works with its inherent intelligence and natural capacity to move toward greater balance and integration. Through gentle, attentive touch and a deeply listening presence, the practitioner supports the body in finding greater safety, stillness and ease. As the nervous system begins to settle, long-held patterns of tension and protective holding may gradually soften, allowing more space for rest, restoration and a renewed sense of connection with oneself. BCST works with the subtle rhythms and movements of the body, including the fluids, tissues and deeper organizing forces described in the biodynamic tradition. Central to this work is an understanding that healing unfolds through relationship, and that the quality of presence, safety and attunement can profoundly influence our capacity to regulate. Sessions can be especially supportive during times of chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm, exhaustion or when the body feels caught in patterns of tension and vigilance. Rather than pushing the body toward change, we create the conditions in which change can emerge from within. What to Expect During a Session Sessions begin with 10–20 minutes of conversation, offering space to share what you are experiencing and what you would like support with. You will then rest fully clothed on a treatment table while I use gentle, still touch, typically at the head, spine, sacrum or other areas of the body. The work is guided by careful listening and responsiveness to your nervous system, allowing the session to unfold at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. Experiences vary. Some people notice deep relaxation, subtle internal movements, warmth, emotional shifts or a greater sense of spaciousness and ease. Others simply experience a quiet opportunity to rest. While a single session may offer noticeable benefits, this work often unfolds gradually. I generally recommend beginning with three sessions, spaced approximately one to two weeks apart, to allow time for your system to become familiar with the work and for changes to integrate.

Equine Assisted -

Craniosacral Therapy

We are honoured to offer a unique and powerful healing experience that combines Equine Assisted Wellness with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST). *New: Somatic Counselling with Kaili and the horses (please email with any questions and to book: kailibh@gmail.com) For the Equine-assisted Craniosacral in collaboration with Heather and her beautiful horses at Evermore Pastures, we create a deeply supportive space where clients can safely explore nervous system regulation, emotional healing, and personal growth. During these sessions: Heather remains fully attuned to the horses, practicing the Trust Technique, a mindfulness-based approach that invites both the horses and clients into a peaceful, calm presence. Kaili offers skilled, gentle touch through Craniosacral Therapy to help the body release tension, regulate the nervous system, and access deeper layers of healing. The horses are never forced to participate. They voluntarily choose to engage and hold space, often providing moments of profound connection and coregulation. This is an experiential, somatic, and intuitive process where the body, mind, and spirit are supported by the quiet wisdom of the horses and the gentle guidance of the practitioners. These sessions are perfect for those seeking nervous system regulation, trauma healing, emotional balance, deeper self awareness, and connection to nature and animals, particularly the wisdom of horses. Please book this session by emailing kailibh@gmail.com or more info can be found at https://evermorepastures.ca/

"Peace is this moment without judgment. That is all. This moment in the Heart-space where everything that is, is welcome. Peace is this moment without thinking that it should be some other way, that you should feel some other thing, that your life should unfold according to your plans." ~Dorothy Hunt
